WELCOME TO FORGET ME NOT CHILDREN'S HOMEThank you for showing an interest in the Australian Association of the Forget Me Not Children’s Home. Our Association is committed to providing orphans in Nepal with a future by providing shelter, education and most importantly, love. We are so glad that you have chosen to join us in this journey. Forget Me Not girls in their new Forget Me Not shirts August 2008
The Forget Me Not Children’s Home opened our door to 6 beautiful girls in January 2006, then in Dec 2006 our 10 girls moved to a new large house. We now support 21 beautiful little girls and six local orphanage staff. The organisation runs on a firm foundation, raising funds here in Australia which go direct to the orphanage in Kathmandu. Our ever-growing support from corporate, community and individual supporters, all sharing the Association's Vision, is truly a gift of generosity and love. You can read the whole story of how the Orphanage began by clicking the orange "History of The Orphanage" at the bottom of this page. "We must never forget that by the strength and love of every Forget Me Not Children’s Home we are giving these children the best tools possible to set them on their path of life, so that they can walk toward their future with a full heart and a passionate determination and knowledge that their family will support them throughout their lives. Each girl is a product of love and harmony, of memories past and memories yet to be created. Each girl holds their own candle of truth, their flame of love burns to the nature of their being. And deep within each girl we will find ourselves, we will find out that we belong, belong to no one and everyone at the same time." (Lars Olsen, Nepal August 2008) |
